Vyn Guest House
where luxury meets sustainability

Enjoy the charm of a guest house offering the design claim of the best boutique hotels in Cape Town

What qualities does a guest house need in order to make your visit to Cape Town a perfect experience? We believe it must be perfectly located, have magnificent views and be luxurious, combining quality materials, clean design and a fair amount of homeliness. You also need a great breakfast for an enjoyable start to the day and, last but not least, gracious hosts. When we created the Vyn Guest House, we implemented everything important to us and still added a little more to make your stay as eventful as it is relaxing and therefore unforgettable.

A relaxed atmosphere - luxurious and sustainable at the same time

In the midst of the magnificent landscape, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in our 12-metre-long, sustainably heated pool. You can relax on one of the comfortable loungers, on a daybed or in the lounge area under the pergola right next to the house. Our lovingly designed fynbos garden, arranged in terraces, invites you to take a stroll.
Later, with a good glass of wine in hand, you can enjoy the breath-taking sunset on our terrace or the dune directly behind the garden. You will love it.
Naturally, you can park your car safely on the property. You can experience our service and comfort with a clear conscience, as we have a sustainable and self-sufficient energy and water supply, which means that we are not affected by possible limitations of the public infrastructure.

A spacious interior – yet personal and private

Our rooms and suites are equipped with everything you would find in a 5-star luxury hotel. But we only have five rooms and are happy to offer you a private environment and pamper you with our personal service.
You can choose between five suites, all of which are spacious and have an open, bright bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. For a romantic touch, you can choose one of the suites with a fireplace or a free-standing bathtub. Four suites have a balcony and the remaining one has a bay side window. From every suite, you can enjoy the view of the breath-taking Chapman's Peak Drive.

Revel in the proximity of nature and the fantastic views

After a day out in the Cape, the city or the Winelands, we invite you to relax in the tranquil surroundings of the Vyn Guest House. It is situated right next to the Table Mountain National Park, on the saddle between Little Lions's Head and Suther Peak. This outstanding location makes it possible for us to enjoy the sun from sunrise to sunset, a unique feature in Hout Bay.

Behind the garden stretches the typical dune landscape, light sand alternating with the evergreen fynbos plants that are so typical here. In the distance, the view extends over the endless, blue-turquoise Atlantic Ocean. In front of the house, you overlook the sheltered bay, which is surrounded by the imposing backside of Table Mountain and the long mountain range above Chapman's Peak Drive, which is immersed in a warm shade of red by the setting sun in the evening.

We will spoil you with a hearty and varied breakfast

In our lounge or on the terrace by the pool, you will be greeted by a lavishly set breakfast table with a view of the surrounding mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, where the wonderful scent of the morning will envelop you. We prepare freshly brewed coffee and a selection of carefully chosen teas and fresh orange juice for you.
At the table, you will find muesli, fresh fruit, milk and yoghurt. In addition, there is a selection of crispy, fresh baked goods, bread and whole-grain bread, as well as a selection of delicious cheeses, cold cuts, and locally produced jams and honey. We are happy to prepare egg dishes with side dishes of your choice. In addition, we spoil you with daily changing specials – sweet or savoury.
Thanks to our commitment to local produce and organic quality, we create the basis for a pleasurable and natural start to the day. If you have any special wishes or needs, we will be happy to accommodate them.
